The 2024 F1 season has perhaps been one of the most thrilling in the past decade, offering fans an array of fresh faces on the podium. For a moment, even Max Verstappen’s quest for a fourth title seemed uncertain. Now, as the season reaches its end, the constructors' championship title is yet to be decided and the battle takes place between Ferrari and McLaren, separated by just 21 points.

McLaren lead the constructors' standings with 640 points from 5 wins and 20 podiums, closely followed by Ferrari with 619 points, also boasting 5 wins and 20 podiums. The gap between the two teams is slim, and the British manufacturer's ace Lando Norris has been absent from the podium since the Mexican Grand Prix, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc enters the finale in strong form, secring P2 at Losail. So, things are way too unpredictable.

The Yas Marina Circuit is set to deliver more than just a showdown for the constructors' title. There are battles at every corner — especially in the drivers' championship, where Norris and Leclerc are separated by just 8 points, and the third-place fight between Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz with a gap of 19 points.

Add to that Lewis Hamilton's final outing with Mercedes, the team he's raced for 12 years, as he chases a top-five finish. There is a 24-point gap between George Russell (235) and the seven-time champion (211).

It will also mark the final race for Carlos Sainz with Ferrari, bringing an end to the era of the beloved "C-Square" duo. Not to mention, after this weekend, things will not be the same as it was in Formula One. Here comes the flashes of Hamilton in red, Sainz in Williams, and the emergence of fresh faces.

The last time the Prancing Horses claimed the constructors' championship was back in 2008, while McLaren's last victory dates even further back to 1998.

Red Bull claimed the Constructors' Championship titles in 2022 and 2023, marking the end of the Silver Arrows' dominance in Formula One.

The Turbo Hybrid era had been defined by Mercedes' unbeaten success, with the team clinching consecutive constructors titles from 2014 to 2021--a remarkable eight-year streak, driven by Lewis Hamilton, who won 6 of his titles with the Brackley-based team.
